1. About RentItUp
RentItUp provides a marketplace where equipment owners can publish machine listings and renters can discover equipment and request bookings. Unless expressly stated otherwise, RentItUp does not own the listed machines and is not a party to the rental agreement between an owner and a renter.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate, current information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Business users confirm that they have authority to act for the organisation they represent.
3. Listings and owner responsibilities
Owners must accurately describe each machine, including its condition, specifications, location, price, images and availability. Owners must have the legal right to list and rent the equipment and must promptly correct information that is incomplete or no longer accurate.
4. Booking requests and rental arrangements
A booking request is not confirmed until the owner accepts it and any required conditions are met. Owners and renters are responsible for agreeing on delivery, collection, operators, fuel, deposits, insurance, site requirements and any other rental-specific terms before work begins.
5. Pricing, payments and fees
Prices displayed on a listing are supplied by the owner and may be expressed by day or another stated period. The final amount may change where the parties agree to transport, operators, taxes, deposits or additional services. Any platform or payment fees will be disclosed before they apply.
6. Acceptable use
You may not misuse the platform, submit false information, impersonate another person, interfere with platform security, scrape data without permission, upload unlawful material or use RentItUp to facilitate fraud or unsafe activity.
7. Safety, condition and disputes
Owners are responsible for supplying equipment that matches the listing and is safe for its intended use. Renters are responsible for appropriate site conditions, qualified operation and lawful use. The parties should inspect equipment and document its condition at handover and return.
8. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or close an account where necessary to protect users, investigate suspected misuse, comply with legal obligations or enforce these terms. You may stop using RentItUp at any time, subject to outstanding bookings and obligations.
9. Platform availability and liability
We work to keep RentItUp reliable, but access may occasionally be interrupted. To the extent permitted by law, RentItUp is not responsible for indirect losses or for the acts, omissions, equipment or services of marketplace users.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or other appropriate channels. Questions can be sent to hello@rentitup.co.ke.
